What is this crap MSP430? Who the hell needs it..?... many such questions I asked him. "Ah ah... hey JB, you are being too funny", said the English lady smiling at me. This happened during a technical intro session of MSP430 in Bangalore two years ago. Never ever dreamt that MSP430 will cross my road again. However it did in the name of my master thesis.
Well, MSP430 is a family of 16 bit microcontrollers being developed by the silicon giant Texas Instruments. So my current job is to bring out magic with my software that is gonna sit in this 8x8 milli meter chip. During my college days, I dreamt a lot about my future job & career interests. Indeed, I wanted to be a software expert who is good in programming Networks & topologies, not knowing my future will be with Embedded software development.
As in Tamil cinema, hero & heroine first dislike and fight; eventually they fall in love in the climax, so is the case with MSP430 and me. I can see a perfect transition in me from dislike to something I fond of. Microcontrollers are everywhere right from little toys to life saving pace makers, I start to realize that I am in a perfect path and happy to be part of it. I can declare MSP430 to be my lover (as of now.. lolz :-)) Nevertheless, I have to work in a messy workstation, amidst two computers, oscilloscope, PCB, USB, test, host.... ghost etc., :-))
