Oflate, I have been travelling a lot. Photography has been a passion for me, with a DSLR in hand, it duly fires me to exploring countries and to capture the scenic beauties around. The recent trip was to the cities of Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal. Amidst my tight schedule at work, I have managed to take a break to wander around these beautiful cities located in the north west of the country, kissing the Atlantic Ocean.
Since I have planned the trip in advance, the bookings went on very smooth. Not to mention the commotion in the low cost flights. The entire two and half flight was like an auction store, the stewardess were busy fulltime selling sandwiches to swiss watches. Not to mention the passengers can use the loo for free, what more you can expect in a low cost career.
The hotel I was staying was an absolute paradise for backpackers. It was real fun to meet fellow travellers from several countries around the globe. I’m amazed to hear their stories about their travel adventures. Most of them are in their mid-twenties and have already circumnavigated the globe. What a feat :-)
I kept my rest of the days busy capturing all the interesting part of the city and feeding it to my camera. The cascade of household, the giant metal bridge, the ocean line, tourist friendly atmosphere, river cruise ride, interesting sculptures, historic old town, modern downtown, amidst the heavenly drizzle, indeed fun unlimited.

Over 15Kms by foot, 100kms of city transport ride, 900+ RAW images, a few hundred bucks, with absolutely no knowledge of Portuguese, enormous fun - Porto deserves a nice pat and I'll definitely visit this beautiful city again. Let this be my two pence to disguise as an Indian Vasco da Gama exploring Portugal. After all, it is high time to reciprocate.
