I am writing this post amidst the widespread e-coli bacterial outbreak in most parts of Germany. Since the epidemic, there has been at least one column/post in every other newspaper and internet media about these bacteria. Though the cause of the outburst is still uncertain, some claim was originated from lettuce cultivated in Spain, other say it is from sprouted grains. There is never a day without my parents enquire about my meal probably because of this E-Coli outbreak. I have least possibility to get infected by these bacteria, as I am not good at eating fresh (raw) vegetables and salads. All I know about these bacteria is that it is cylindrical shaped named Escherichia coli, thanks to my high school botany.
Germany is the country where people fresh and uncooked vegetables besides eating cows, not to mentioned the latter feds on the former; is there an improper food cycle? The availability of a vegetarian diet in Germany is highly difficult and expensive. So a minimal of one non-vegetarian meal is inevitable. Taste is some commodity I forgot long back, people who start eating my food will also be forced to the same state.
After all, I have a humble piece of advice for all of those in diet, just start cooking on your own or just relocate to Germany for a few months; you will all be slim in no time :-)
Love & Peace
